The EGO Epower from SMOK Tech is a superb vaping device
- Awesome performance
- Incredibly versatile
- And a great value
We have packaged this device with the bargain hunter in mind. The price shown is for the device only. If you already have 18650 batteries and a charger, then this is all you need. One thing that has always frustrated me is that a lot of the devices I really want to try are only available in full kits. As a result, I am sitting on a lot of single slot battery chargers and cheap unprotected cells that I will probably never use.
If you do need batteries and / or a charger, you can select them here and get a price even better than the sale price available on the site.
This is the newest design - EGO Epower 18650. This unit is a little shorter and a little lighter than it's predecessor, the Classic Epower 18650, but it still packs the same punch: great throat hit and incredible vapor production. This is a one piece device (not counting the small cap at the bottom of the tube). The battery tube and the PCB switch are in a single unit. The main new feature of this electronic cigarette is that it has EGO threads instead of the proprietary Epower cone threads. This will allow you to use EGO-threaded devices (like the CE4 Plus and the Kanger T2 and T3s) on this personal vaporizer without an adapter.
The Epower uses standard lithium ion batteries. These batteries:
- are less expensive
- hold their charge longer
- have a greater operational life
than the majority of the proprietary batteries on the market.
This e-cigarette features a PCB-driven (process control board) switch that regulates the voltage at 3.7 volts. What this means to you is that you get a consistent vape from the time you first put in the fresh batteries until the device tells you it is time to replace the batteries.
One work of caution. The Epower does NOT
have reverse battery protection. If you put the battery in backwards, you will fry the switch. I know, I have done it myself and it isn't pretty. When you remove the end cap to put in the battery, be sure to slide the battery in with the positive side going into the tube toward the top of the device.
If the button has a white LED when you press the button, there is a five click on / off feature. If the LED glows blue, that function is not available.
